Our Story

That-Reminds-Me started purely by chance.  In 2012 a lady asked my cousin if she knew of anyone that made t-shirt quilts.  I think I take after my Mom and my Aunt Marie and have always liked to sew…..and it seems I’ve always had 2 or 3 craft projects in the works.  My cousin asked if I would be interested in giving a t-shirt quilt a try.  And the rest, as they say, is history.  I practiced using some of my son’s t-shirts and was then able to fill the request for the initial order.

The pillows took off after a neighbor showed me one on-line and asked if I could do something similar from a shirt that belonged to her grandson who passed away.  The Memory Pillows have been VERY popular as Christmas gifts and I have had orders for12-15 at a time.

The Memory Comforters came about when a customer wanted something similar to a t-shirt comforter but had different types of clothing items that belonged to a parent.

Since the first order in 2012 I have been constantly busy…..sometimes with 5 or 6 pending orders at one time.  I have dozens of repeat customers and lots of referrals.  My items are reasonably priced so that ordering additional items or placing another order in a year or two is not a financial burden.  I have seen sites where the same product is up to 6 or 7 times more expensive.

It seems that everyone has drawers or boxes of old t-shirts or clothing that belonged to someone special.  You just can’t imagine throwing them away, but what do you do with them??  I enjoy looking at all the different t-shirts and hearing stories about loved ones.  These items hold so many memories.  As Bob Dylan said “Take care of all your memories, for you cannot relive them”.
